Are you ready to shop Carrie Ann Boutique when it re-opens from its remodel?
From Sophia to Mink Pink Carrie Ann offers the hottest looks for any city girl on the go. Nestled in the Uptown area, if you need to pick up a head to toe look during a lunch break, rely on Carrie Ann to have you looking #FLAWLESS. Her new store design is so clean and functional. There is something for everyone, EVEN YOUR DOG. She walked me through the space before her launch and we had a small chitchat in preparation for her party on September 17. Chef Roble will even be there launching his debut fragrance (which I got to smell... its actually delightful.)

Check out our interview below, I didn't want to give away her remodel (and left my camera at home) but expect more images when I stop buy her re-opening. KEEP READING:
TELL ME A LITTLE BIT ABOUT CARRIE ANN BOUTIQUE:
"Its is very unique styles, very west coast. I try to really find things you don't really see everywhere. It ranges from ages 20 and up and the price point can be as low as $40 up to $500 so there is a wide variety. A lot of people think we are very high end because we do have $300 but then we also have Mink Pink dresses that you can get for $80. We even have things for your dog and we are expanding on that. We will have new sweaters and things. Everyone is welcome to bring their dog!"
OH I KNOW YOU DO PET ADOPTIONS, HOW MANY ANIMALS DO YOU HAVE?
"I have 2. I had my first dog for 7 years and then got my other."
SO CUTE! HAPPY FASHION WEEK AS WELL, SPEAKING OF FASHION WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE DESIGNER YOU HAVE IN STORE?
"Oh Gosh! Well on the high end I like Yoana Baraschi who ironically is from New York not even west coast. She has a lot of unique things that are just so--you don't mind paying $300 because its so amazing. More middle... I like Sofia. Its more reasonable, one size fits all, machine washable. She is also from Houston. The designer's name is Paula but the line is called Sofia. On the lower end I like Mink Pink. "
I LOVE MINK PINK TOO.
"Its better than like... Forever21. Its so cute."
YES!
DO YOU BUY STUFF--I WORK IN A BUYING OFFICE SO I SEE THIS-- DO YOU BUY THINGS AND END UP SETTING IT ASIDE FOR YOURSELF BECAUSE ITS JUST SO CUTE?
"Oh all the time! Actually a personal favorite that I can wear everyday is Gypsy 05... I always put one aside for myself. Very Bohemian. I mean... I'm selling it so I can justify it! I have to promote it no matter where I am. "
OF COURSE. I AGREE. SO, WHAT IS IT THAT INSPIRED THIS REMODEL? I'VE SEEN THIS SPACE BEFORE IT WAS CUTE BEFORE, YOU DIDN'T MOVE LOCATIONS EITHER--
"I feel like, its been 4 years, I've learned a lot about how customers shop and what they want. They want it clear. They want to see the whole outfit. They especially in this area are in a hurry, we are next to Starbucks. They run in and run out. I wanted it more accessible I wanted them to see the clothes. It wasn't about looking pretty, but it is about being functional for the customer. "
THAT IS SO SMART. SO WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING YOU HAVE ADDED TO THIS SPACE?
"Ohhh.... I really like the Chandelier. I really like it. "
IT IS GORGEOUS. VERY GEOMETRIC.
SO YOU MENTIONED CHEF ROBLE COMING IN FOR YOUR RELAUNCH HOW DID THAT COME ABOUT?
"Well actually I've know him since I was like.. 10. He is best friends with my brother. Roble went to Junior High and High School in Houston. I wanted to do something so different. The typical thing is a fashion show which is good but I felt like for a relaunch I wanted something sooo different."
I LIKE IT, I LIKE HIM TOO, HE SEEMS LIKE HE IS A COOL BUSINESS PERSON.
SO AS A BUSINESS WOMEN, I KNOW YOU ALSO STUDIED FASHION, YOU WENT TO FIDM. WHAT WAS YOUR MAJOR?
Merchandise Marketing
OH SIMILAR TO ME, I STUDIED FASHION MERCHANDISING WITH A MINOR IN MARKETING BUT NOT AS COOL I WENT TO SAM HOUSTON.
Ohh, I went there too!
NO WAY?
"I went to Sam Houston, for a bachelors in Fashion Merchandising and a minor in business but I always knew I wanted to open a store. I worked at Nordstrom and then my parents... then I moved to California and pursued that there. It was better I think because I was older and really knew what I wanted to do in life."
OH WOW. SO WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO START A BUSINESS AND WORK FOR THEM SELF ?
"Well it is a lot of fun, you get to make your own schedule. You can run things how you want BUT it is hard to find loyal people. You can't take it personal. Its hard not to take it personal but the best thing is that you can do whatever you want. You can make your own rules. Its your baby. The hard thing is finding the right people to work for you. Its hard, you're taking a big risk but I love it. I don't think I would do anything else. "
