As the weather finally gets a little colder in Houston I try to find ways to stay active despite the small amount of daylight this season allows. I feel like weekends are the perfect time to get away or actually experience some sun. A long work week grind is so boring--But just because the week is boring doesn't mean your car needs to be! We packed up the pup, some skateboards and test drove the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport over the long holiday weekend. For starters, fun things about this car included heated seats, a subwoofer, and a moon roof!
This car may have the word "sport" in the title, but it is actually a little bit more refined than you would imagine. The car is pretty simple, but has enough features to not feel completely outdated. Starting at $23,000 the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is a decent Crossover SUV that is good looking and good on gas. When I was college I actually drove a compact SUV and I will say... it was pretty handy, I would have been happy hauling my dorm in this! This car could also easily be geared toward a small family, the Outlander sport does not have the 3rd row that the original Outlander has.
AWD makes this car beach perfect! Too bad it isn't actually summer. Only in my dreams. This car gets between 23-25 City/ 26-32 Hwy MPG. That's not bad for an SUV.
The felt more spacious than normal because of the moonroof, and the speakers from Rockford-Fosgate were great additions to the car. The display screen is touchscreen is kind of annoying to navigate when you are in the XM menu. The display even included the local weather and a calendar! No excuse when planning events and its perfect when you are on the go. That extra reminder in the car is great. Heated seats came in handy a lot, cold snaps and leather seats are not my friend.
Overall test driving the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport was fun!
This post was sponsored by Mitsubishi and DriveShopUSA. The vehicle was driven for testing and evaluation purposes over a period of time. Thank you for your support in supporting my sponsors! Without them this blog is not possible :) As usual, all opinions are my own.
